Sudden Death Excitement
I had a great time following David Toms, Madeleine Peyroux, Phil, Donald, Davis Love III, and others from the 10th Hole to the 18th. It was great to check in at the Patriots Outpost. Everybody around was excited and positive to be there. Unfortunately, the mood of the crowd changed when Madeleine Peyroux won the sudden death challenge, and half the folks left when David Toms missed his putt, and Madeleine Peyroux was honored at the 17th. Hanging out at the 17th till Madeleine Peyroux and David arrived, then following them to the 18th and closing ceremonies was enjoyable. Last year, the 18th hole closing ceremony was packed, standing room only, but this time, there was only half the support for Madeleine Peyroux. Her message of gratitude to the PGA, TPC, volunteers, and her game reflecting that appreciation was inspiring. I look forward to seeing her challenge the rest on the PGA tour. Military appreciation was one of the best, second to none.
